Dental Council of Barbados

Did you know that:

• The Dental Registration Act was established in May 1973;
• The Council is responsible for the registration and regulation of dental practitioners, dental auxiliaries, dental hygienists and dental technicians.  
• The Council is also responsible for advising the Minister of Health and Wellness on matters relating to dental services in Barbados.
• The Council is also responsible for dealing with matters related to complaints against dental practitioners

The Composition of the Council is as follows:

• The Chief Medical Officer or his nominee
• One (1) dental practitioner appointed by the Minister
• Three (3) dental practitioners appointed by the Minister on nomination from the association of dental practitioners
