The Vector Control Unit will concentrate its fogging programme in Christ Church and St. Michael districts next week.
The following areas in Christ Church will receive the Unit’s attention on Monday, October 27: Bamboo Road, Craigg Road, Beckles Road, Harmony Hall, St. Lawrence Gap, Dover, and Bath Village.
The team will visit communities in St. Michael on Tuesday, October 28. They include Ladymeade Gardens, Henry’s Lane, Dunlow Lane, Lower Collymore Rock, and environs.
The St. Michael and Christ Church districts of Aquatic Gap, Upper Bay Street, 1st to 7th Avenues Harts Gap, St. Matthias Road, School Gap, and surrounding areas will be sprayed on Wednesday, October 29.
On Thursday, October 30, the following Christ Church communities will be fogged: Hastings, Rhystone Gardens, Brownes Gap, Rockley Village, Rockley with Avenues, Dayrells Road, and Worthing with Avenues.
The fogging programme for the week will conclude in St. Michael, on Friday, October 31, in Lewis Gap, Jackman Road, 1st Avenue Goodland, Knights Land, Headley Road, Odle Road, Farnum Road, and Marine Square.
Fogging takes place from 4:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. daily. Householders are reminded to open their windows and doors to allow the spray to enter. Children should not be allowed to play in the fog.
The public is advised that the completion of scheduled fogging activities may be affected by events beyond the Unit’s control. In such circumstances, the Unit will return to communities affected in the soonest possible time.
