Districts In St. Michael To Be Fogged Next Week
The Vector Control Unit will concentrate its fogging programme in St. Michael next week.
The following districts will be fogged on Monday, May 26: Beckles Hill Nos.1-2, St. Paul’s Avenue, Lawrence Avenue, Luke Avenue, Evelyn Avenue, Clarke’s Avenue, Alleyne Avenue, Curwen Avenue, Walcott Avenue, Pipers Avenue, Gully Field Avenue, Old Quarry Road, Jessamine Avenue, Sandbox Avenue, Browne’s Avenue, Chelsea Gardens Nos. 1-2, Chelsea Nos. 1-2, and Dunlow Lane.
The next day, Tuesday, May 27, Chelston Avenue, Milyard Road, Villa Road, Layne Road, Scotts Gap, Britton’s Cross Road, Mission Gap, Perkins Road, Seaman’s Village, Ifill Road, Brittons Park, Knights Road, Beales Gap, Warrens Gap, Burke’s Land, Eversley Gap, London Road, Liverpool Road, Reece Road, Flagstaff Road, Highgate Park and environs, will be sprayed.
The Unit will visit Flagstaff Road, Ifill Road, Streats Road, Laynes Gap, Gas Product Road, Clapham, Forde’s Road, Observatory Road, Harpers Land, Wildey Main Road, Adam’s Road, and Clapham Park on Wednesday, May 28.
On Thursday, May 29, the team will go into Government Hill, Brankers Gap, Gittens Road, Rogers Road, Ivy Road, Wilkie Street, Skeete’s Road 1st to 5th Avenues, Ivy 1st to 7th Avenues, Mayers Road, Pinders Gap, My Lord’s Hill, Howell’s Cross Road, Back Ivy, Martinique Road, Lovell’s Drive, Welches, Welches 1st to 3rd Avenues, and Gittens Gap.
The fogging programme for the week will conclude on Friday, May 30, in Embassy Gardens, Two Mile Hill, Tichbourne Road, Barker’s Road, Rouen Road, Rouen Road 1st and 2nd Avenues, Neil’s Tenantry, Cosy Corner, and surrounding areas.
Fogging takes place from 4:30 to 8:30 p.m. daily. Householders are reminded to open their windows and doors to allow the spray to enter. Children should not be allowed to play in the fog.
Members of the public are advised that the completion of scheduled fogging activities may be affected by events beyond the Unit’s control. In such circumstances, the Unit will return to communities affected in the soonest possible time.
