Vector Control’s Focus On St. Lucy Next Week
St. Lucy will receive the full attention of the Vector Control Unit when it carries out its fogging programme next week.
The team will start in Ursula Caddle Sobers Drive, Cave Hill, Graveyard, Air View, Pie Corner, Cove Bay, Little Bay, Well Road, St. Clements, and environs on
Monday, August 25.
The following day, Tuesday, August 26, they will visit Chance Hall, Spring Garden, Coconut Hall, Bishops, Lowlands, Rockfield, and surrounding areas.
On Wednesday, August 27, St. Swithins, Connell Town, Bright Hall, Hope Bridge Road, Retreat Road, Northumberland, Hope Road Development, Hope Road, River Bay Road, and nearby districts will be fogged.
The Unit will target Content, Selah, Archers Road, Crab Hill Development, Crab Hill #1 to 3, Grape Hall Terrace, Salmonds, Archers Bay, Long Gap, Stroud Bay, Harrison’s Road, and surrounding areas on Thursday, August 28.
The fogging exercise for the week will end on Friday, August 29, in Checker Hall, Maycocks Road, Bromefield, Bromefield #1 to 2, Maycocks Terrace, Friendly Hall Road, Husbands Road, Babbs, and environs.
Fogging takes place from 4:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. daily. Householders are reminded to open their windows and doors to allow the spray to enter. Children should not play in the fog.
Members of the public are advised that the completion of scheduled fogging activities may be affected by events beyond the Unit’s control. In such instances, the Unit will return to communities affected in the soonest possible time.
